CAUSE: Climate, Health & Wellness, Community Empowerment, Environment, Mental Health

CATEGORY: Film, Other

PROJECT DIRECTOR: Mark Manning

THE COST OF SILENCE is a Sundance-selected documentary film and impact campaign highlighting the human health risks and tragic global consequences of a fossil fuel future. An oil industry insider exposes the devastating consequences of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, over the course of nine years of secret filming. This documentary uncovers a public health disaster and the coordination between government and industry to silence the victims. This is the first and only independent film to dive deep into the health repercussions from the Gulf oil disaster.
